Myopia
Micro Mini Size mare sculpted by Kathi Bogucki
This little critter came into being simply because I wondered if I was capable of it. Ha! Not the most inspiring creative story, but an accurate one! My thanks go to Jackie Huey for the name suggestion! It's absolutely dreamy and oh so apropos! I sculpted this little girl from Sculp-epox and didn't use any magnifying equipment other than holding her at the end of my nose and using my own weary myopic eyes.
She is of no particular breed but she sports as many details as I could pack into her tiny little body. . .including correct mare parts which are too minute to get a decent photo of.
She is being cast by Sheri and Will Rhodes of Mountainview Studios and the castings are as clean as any I have seen, regardless of size! Myopia is NOT a mass produced sculpture. She is created using the same type of mold as larger resins, only in miniature! They take as much time and cost almost the same amount to produce as the Stablemate size resins. Each piece is painstakingly cast and cleaned, one at a time, to ensure the highest quality castings possible.
Unpainted micro mini $30.
Priority Mail Shipping and handling in the continental U.S $4. (you may have up to 8 micros shipped together at no extra charge)
