*Bask +
Traditional size Arabian Stallion by Edwin Bogucki and Kathi Bogucki
11 1/2" Tall 13 1/2" Long 4 1/2" Wide (all measurements include the removable base)
Ed Bogucki's iconic portrait of *Bask+ was originally commissioned in 1982 and quickly became one of his most
enduringly popular pieces. The original bronze is 1/4 scale and stands 32" tall at the ear tips.
In 1997, Ed was commissioned, yet again, to reproduce his now famous sculpture of the Polish stallion in larger than
life scale for the lobby of the Museum of the Horse at the Kentucky Horse Park.
After almost twenty years of fan requests for a tabletop size version of *Bask+, Ed and Kathi teamed up to bring
this newest piece into being.
Instead of using modern scanning and 3 D printing technology, This 1/9th scale version is an original sculpture in it's
own right, created with all the precision and attention to detail of it's predecessors.
Using classic sculpting techniques, this smaller version was meticulously scaled down using the measurements from
the original 1/4 scale sculpture. Everything that makes the larger versions so memorable has been included in this
miniaturized version. From *Bask's "Prophet's Thumbprint" on his neck to the decorative name plate on the base.
We at Bogucki Studios are thrilled to be able to bring this version of *Bask+ to a new generation as well as the
original fans of the piece!
Please note: We will be letting the second, and final, Bask mold cast itself out now. When it's done, the edition will be closed.

*A marbled version of the base is also available upon request. Each base is hand marbled in the pouring process and no two are alike. If you would like a marbled base substituted for the plain resin base, please add an additional $25
to your total.
